Turtle Adoption Program

To increase awareness and gather conservation and funding support for the conservation of endangered and threatened sea turtles in the waters of Honduras, Central America, we have developed the Turtle Adoption Program that provides an opportunity for you to adopt sea turtles.

Each turtle adopter will be able to name their sea turtle, receive an official adoption certificate, and receive an electornic file with photos, tag numbers, and research information about their turtle.

To adopt a sea turtle simply print and mail the turtle adoption form here or below.

Turtle Adoption Programs

$20 Olive Ridley Nest Rescue

You will receive: an official adoption certificate with the nest number and identification number of the nesting female, and a digital photo of the nesting female and nest you have rescued from being sold at a market. Your name will also be listed on the nest rescuers section of the adoption webpage (below).

$75 Juvenile Hawksbill
You will receive: an official adoption certificate wth the turtle's flipper tag numbers, an electronic file with photos and your turtle's information, and your name listed on the adoption website.

$75 Juvenile Green
You will receive: an official adoption certificate wth the turtle's flipper tag numbers, an electronic file with photos and your turtle's information, and your name listed on the adoption website.

$150 Nesting Turtle
You will receive: an official adoption certificate wth the turtle's flipper tag numbers, an electronic file with photos and your turtle's information, and your name listed on the adoption website, nest and egg information for your turtle, and the ProTECTOR newsletter.

$400 Radio-Tagged Turtle
You will receive: an official adoption certificate wth the turtle's flipper tag numbers, an electronic file with photos and your turtle's information, your name listed on the adoption website, nest and egg information for your turtle, maps of the turtles' home range, and the ProTECTOR newsletter.

Reduced Price: ONLY $1,500 Satelite-Tagged Turtle
You will receive: an official adoption certificate wth the turtle's flipper tag numbers, an electronic file with photos and your turtle's information, and your name listed on the adoption website, updates and maps of your turtle's travels, and the ProTECTOR newsletter.
